'Law & Order: SVU' Season 16 Spoilers, Recap: Episode 11 'Agent Provocateur' Recap
A variety of different cases on "Law & Order: SVU" reflects a lot of Hollywood stories and takes aim at the entertainment industry. On the show's 11th episode titled "Agent Provocateur," the series explores how powerful the paparazzi and gossip websites are nowadays.
The episode starts with a teenage girl being stuffed into a suitcase and wheeled out into the street and left there. A policeman finds the suitcase, and the girl is rushed to the hospital and revived.
Madison wakes up and doesn't remember what happened to her. Fin goes over to Madison's uncle's house, where she has been staying, and he says that she never left the house and that she is sleeping. Upon going to her room he finds out that she's not there. He says that the last time he saw her, she was about to go see "Wicked" on Broadway. The tickets are still in her room, so it's clear that she never went.
Upon checking Madison's phone and social media pages, they find out that she was meeting up with an actor, Scott Russo. Madison says that she went to the hotel to meet Scott and the last thing she remembers is him getting her a drink before she blacked out.
Fin and Carruso drop by Scott's place and he denies Madison's accusations. Olivia tries to get some footage from the hotel but she finds out that the footage has been taken by someone else. The hotel employee says the NYPD took it.
The team interviews Scott's co-star, Skye, and he said that he didn't see Scott or Madison leave. Later, a video is leaked showing Madison and Scott kissing and the two of them going into the hotel. The team learns that it was gossip site LMZ was the one who got the footage from the hotel and that they impersonated an NYPD officer to obtain the footage. The team gets a warrant and they arrest Scott.
Scott says that the video was edited, and that on that night, he was sleeping with his married co-star. When Olivia talks to Madison, she changes her story and says that she did sleep with Scott after going to his bathroom and taking some pills.
The team decides to arrest Larry from LMZ, and Fin and Caruso pretend to be inmates to see if they could get more info from Larry. He tells Fin that Scott's manager gave him the edited video so he wouldn't leak the real video, which is even more scandalous.
Scott's manager is questioned, and she says she gave the footage to Larry. Scott is arrested for rape and attempted murder. Then, Madison finally tells the truth—she says that she followed Scott and saw him sleeping with another woman. Hurt, she goes out to the hall, and Skye finds her there. He was the one who gave her alcohol and pills before having sex. Skye confesses, and Scott is released.
