'Law & Order: SVU' Season 19 Episode 9 Spoilers: Sheila Labors to Win Back Benson's Trust

Sheila (guest star Brooke Shields) will want to make amends after her huge blunder in the next episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."

In the episode titled "Gone Baby Gone," the synopsis reveals that the search for the missing Noah (Ryan Buggle) will commence. Benson's son vanished when he was out shopping with his biological grandmother last midseason finale. Sheila asked for the lieutenant's permission to buy some clothes for the boy. When she was given the go ahead, they went to a nearby mall. Shiela was gone for a little while to check on a jacket and when she returned, Noah was gone.

The promo shows an unidentified person leading the confused boy to a car. Noah has definitely been kidnapped and Benson thinks the criminal has planned it all along. The SVU agent looks so terrified that they may not be able to find Noah again. She is bound to feel antagonistic over Sheila and blame the other woman for not watching over the boy properly. Noah's grandmother will do everything to win back Benson's trust. In fact, according to Shields, Sheila would be so involved in the investigation, to the point that the SVU is going to be fed up with her around.

"And how will Olivia trust her again? To have something like this happen in the wake of her having a conversation where she basically told Noah about his mother prematurely, and that was the first breach, and to have this event follow that up it's just very, very sad." Shields added: "I think Sheila will definitely try to insert herself [into the investigation], because she really feels because she's a blood relative of Noah that this is the right thing to do. She's getting this second chance to do it right."

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" season 19 will return on Wednesday, Jan. 3 at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
