Lenovo K4 Note Specs Include Biometric Security Technology & NFC, Possibly 4 GB Of RAM
Fans who have been looking out for the Lenovo K4 Note are in for a treat as reports say that it's going to come when 2016 opens. According to PC-Tablet, the upcoming device is going to be launched on Jan 5, 2016. Media invites have already been sent out in preparation for the launch event, which is going to be held in India's capital city of New Delhi.
But even before it could make its official public debut, several sources containing information about the device have surfaced already. The most noted one concerns the mobile phone's security system. According to International Business Times, an online poll was held by Lenovo India, asking the opinion of fans on what security system they would like to see in the phablet.
Now, they have confirmed that the successor of the K3 Note will come with fingerprint-based biometric security technology, although they did not reveal where the sensor will be positioned at. The K4 Note is the second smartphone that will contain biometric technology in India, with the Coolpad Note 3 as the first one and released in October.
Aside from the finger-print sensor, the K4 Note is said to be installed with NFC (Near Field Communicaton) for faster wireless data transfer. GSM Arena noted that the company confirmed the details through a Twitter post that came with an image with the text "Data Protection with a Fingerprint Reader and as a bonus, an NFC chip too!"
Lenovo India also tweeted that the device will be equipped with 3 GB of RAM. However, a different report from PC-Tablet said that an internal source revealed that the K4 Note will come with 4 GB of RAM. If this is true, fans will be delighted to get more.
Other expected specs of the device include a 5.5-inch FHD display with Corning Gorilla Glass, MediaTek Helio X10 processor, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 16 GB or 32 GB storage capacity, a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It will be powered with a 3100 mAh battery.
