Lenovo Y70 Touch Review: Summary of Specs, Features
Lenovo has attracted gamers with a new laptop, the Lenovo Y70 Touch. For an entry level gaming laptop, it delivers optimum performance for both work and play. Compared to other gaming laptops in the market, it's affordable and has a touch screen.
Design:
The laptop measures 16.64 x 11.44 x 1 inches and is slim for a gaming laptop. It weighs 7.5 pounds. The laptop is comes in a black aluminum chassis with faint crosshatching with red accents and the Lenovo logo is on the top right of the lid. The interior has a black, soft touch finish. The keyboard is unique as the black keys have a glowing red backlight.
Features:
The 17-inch LED display has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and 10-point touch support. Images are good, look detailed and have accurate colors. The sounds emitted by the JBL speakers are loud and well-balanced.
The left side of the laptop has two USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI-out port. The right side has one USB 2.0 port, an SD card slot, and a headset jack.
The Y70 Touch has a 2.5GHz Intel Core processor with 16 GB of RAM. It has 1TB 5,400-rpm hard drive and 8GB SSD.
One of the Lenovo laptop's faults is its poor battery life. Continuous Web surfing over Wi-Fi will only give you three hours and 38 minutes of battery life.
Lenovo has included its own apps and software in the laptop, which include Companion, Support, Photos, Settings, Energy Manager, One Key Recovery, and Motion Control. It also includes Photomaster, which allows you to edit photos and add filters. Third party apps include Kindle, Evernote Touch, Zinio, and eBay.
