"Limitless" season 1 episode 8 was directed by Peter Werner and was written by Kari Drake.

Meanwhile, Brian faked sick in the last episode, and was taken by mercenaries, who were hunting a suspected terrorist somewhere in Pennsylvania. According to reports, the whole episode was greatly inspired by the film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."

The executive producer of the show, Craig Sweeny, admitted he was heavily influenced by the movie during his interview with ET Online. "I would say I saw it five times in the theater on the first run," Sweeny said. When the showrunner noticed that he is using the same technique from the film into the CBS crime drama, he decided to pay homage to the 1986 movie. "I got really kind of determined to do an homage to the movie at some point, and I knew that our show was playful enough to get away with it," he explained.

Brian was seen having a fantasy version of Rebecca, who he nicknamed "Sloane Rebecca" last night. He even had a very detailed introduction scene at the beginning of the episode, and shooed away the viewers at the end.

Watch "Limitless" every Tuesday on CBS.
