'Limitless' Season 1 Spoilers: Brian risks his FBI job

'Limitless' is CBS' new drama series, which stars Jake McDorman as Brian Finch. It follows the story of Brian, his family's black sheep, his newly acquired "increased IQ," because of the mysterious drug called NZT-48.

'Limitless' is based on the novel 'The Dark Fields,' and on the 2011 movie of the same name. The TV series happens after the movie, and the stories were woven together so that the characters live in the "same" world.

The premiere episode showed Brian being given by his friend the mysterious pill. He suddenly knows how to do anything and everything, after the effects of the pill kicked in. When it wore off, he went back to his friend to ask for more, but found out that his friend was murdered.

The FBIs arrived at the scene and Brian tried to escape. He got shot, and ended up meeting Senator Eddie Mora (Bradley Cooper), and gave him tons of NZT drugs. In return, Brian helped the FBI solved his friend's murder, and got recruited by the said government agency.

In the upcoming episode of 'Limitless,' which is entitled 'Badge! Gun!' Brian will investigate the murder of a well-known journalist. The synopsis released by CBS said that Brian will disobey orders that will put his new job in jeopardy. His other co-workers think that he is too reckless for the FBI job. On the other hand, Brian and his partner will have an "interesting" chemistry.

Joining Jake McDorman in the show's main cast are Jennifer Carpenter (Agent Rebecca Harris), Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (SAC Nasreen "Naz" Pouran), and Hill Harper (Agent Spellman Boyle). The other cast of the show includes Patch Darragh (Cameron Finch), Megan Guinan (Rachel Finch), Sipiwe Moyo (Sipiwe), Tom Degnan (Agent Ike), Michael Shaw (Agent Mike), and Colin Salmon (Jared Sands).

'Limitless' Season 1 Episode 2 will air this Tuesday, September 29, on CBS.
