Lohan Rehab Swap: Star Leaves Another Rehab, Heads for NY

Lindsay Lohan has received approval from a judge to move rehab facilities for a second time this month.

A California judge has approved Lohan's bid to swap facilities once again, this time leaving the Cliffside Center in Malibu for an East Coast facility in Long Island, New York. While not explaining the reason for her move, the new program at Seafield Center in Westhampton Beach, N.Y. will be more of an 30-day "intensive," according to the Daily News.

"The staff is getting ready for her," one insider told Confidenti@l. "They have a bed and everything ready and know her room and what she'll be doing."

Lohan's father told the publication that his daughter was doing much better after leaving the Betty Ford Clinic.

"Cliffside is better for her than Betty," he said. "She has more freedom, it's more personalized, and the treatment is better for her. You can never tell if it's going to stick or not until she gets out of rehab, but she's doing great. She sounds fantastic."

Just last week it was reported that Lohan was moving out of the Betty Ford Clinic due to a drug outbreak. A fellow patient at Ford allegedly brought a banned substance and was distributing it to several female patients.

"She heard what was going on and was really upset by it and wanted to get out," a source told Fox News last week. "She's been doing really well detoxing and didn't want to be around the temptation of more drugs … Lindsay also wanted to be at a place where she would receive more one-on-one treatment time."

A second has suggested that Lohan is not yet committed to the Long Island facility and has put in a second bid for a different facility at Lukens Institute in Palm Beach.

"Seafield is like a motel and Lukens is a gorgeous place," the insider informed the Daily News.
