'Love Is Like a Cocktail' Episode 7 Spoilers: Will the Shiraishi Couple Be Featured Again in Future Episodes?
After six episodes of treating its audiences to the seemingly perfect home life of the Mizusawa couple, Sora and Chisato, the short-form Japanese slice-of-life anime series, "Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte kara" or "Love Is Like a Cocktail," offered a glimpse into the married life of one other couple: the Shiraishis. Will there be more appearances from them in the future?
Chisato's hard work paid off in the previous episode when the project proposal she has worked on and lost sleep over for almost a week was chosen over the one that her co-worker, Yui Shiraishi, may have worked just as hard on.
It was also revealed through this incident that Yui has always viewed Chisato as a rival. However, such rivalry has never reached violent levels, despite what their other co-workers might think. This was due to the fact that Yui is still able to show graciousness even in defeat, while Chisato herself is not a particularly confrontational woman.
What Yui and Chisato have is a friendly rivalry that has already spanned a handful of workplace competitions that always ended in Yui treating Chisato to dinner and the top shelf drink for her success, while also vowing to defeat the hardworking assistant manager next time.
But more than anything, what they also both have are loving husbands who support them in the best way they know how.
Will there be more interactions coming up between the Mizusawa and the Shiraishi couples? Will Yui ever be treated to some of Sora's cocktails, or are those drinks exclusively mixed for Chisato's consumption alone?
If these couples ever do get together for a drink or two, it will be quite a sight since Yui also seems to turn into a "cute drunk" just like her rival, Chisato.
This week's drink is called a Bellini, and it is made by mixing 60 milliliters of Rosé Sparkling Wine and 1/4 canned peach, puréed. What comes out is a celebratory drink with a rather expensive taste.
"Love Is Like a Cocktail" airs on Tuesdays late night at 1 a.m. JST on Tokyo MX and at late night 2 a.m. JST on Sun TV. It is also available on the online video service GYAO! and is also simulcast in selected regions outside Japan via Crunchyroll.
