Macaulay Culkin Booed Off Stage in Nottingham, Pelted With Beer
Macaulay Culkin was booed off stage alongside his Velvet Underground covers band, The Pizza Underground, on Sunday, according to reports. The former child actor had beer thrown at him while performing at the Dot To Dot music festival in Nottingham, England.
Macaulay Culkin was playing the beginning of the set with his comedy rock band The Pizza Underground when he ruckus started. The crowd apparently didn't think much of his performance, because their reaction was anything but positive and they began lobbing full pints of beer onto the stage.
"Why are you throwing those? I'd rather drink them!" Culkin told the concertgoers.

Unfortunately, the booing continued, and the 33-year-old "Home Alone" actor stormed off stage after playing only three songs.
The crowd's adverse reaction wasn't to Culkin himself, but to the music of The Pizza Underground.
"It just sounds awful. I can't believe he is doing this. Why bother? It must go down well in America or something," one audience member who preferred to remain anonymous told The Nottingham Post.
"I feel really sorry for him. I mean, the music did sound terrible, but it isn't very fair to be hit with so much beer and booed is it," another concertgoer, 19-year-old Jess, said.
After the incident, about five audience members were ejected from the venue, but the damage was already done. Culkin and his band never came back to the stage.
"After barnstorming sets at both Dot To Dot Manchester and Dot To Dot Bristol, it's such a shame that some members of the crowd had to ruin what was set to be an excellent show. A sentiment echoed by the band themselves," the organizers said in a statement.
"Thank you so much Nottingham and dot to dot. Sorry that a couple people ruined it for everyone," The Pizza Underground tweeted.
