'Madden NFL 16' News: Latest Patch Brings 'Play-A-Friend' To 'Draft Champions Ranked'

The popular American football video game series "Madden NFL" is enjoying great success and has released the 16th installment in the series titled "Madden NFL 16" on August 2015. The current game of the series is published by Electronic Arts Sports. In November, the game received an update that brought the "Draft Champions Ranked" mode. This December, a patch is coming to the game that will bring improvements to the "Draft Champions Ranked" mode, according to a post in EA Sports.

The "Draft Champions Ranked" mode enabled players to compete with other players in events, get ranked and of course, win prizes along the way. This adds extra excitement to the already exciting "Draft Champions" mode introduced in the game, which lets players get draft night over and over again, until they make up their own dream team.

With the latest patch update, EA Sports brings something to the "Draft Champions Ranked" mode that has long been requested by the game's fans and this is to be able to draft their team and pit it against their friends' team. According to EA Sports' official post, this is what the latest patch update will bring to the game, which they were happy to announce right before the holidays.

After receiving the update, to play "Draft Champions Play-A-Friend," the player has to draft a new squad, after which the player can choose from any of the people in his friends list who his draft team will be playing against. Up to five games can be played, after which the player needs to draft another team and choose a friend again. According to EA Sports, the player will be given one chance to reset their team and re-draft every 24 hours.

Aside from the "Play-A-Friend," the patch also brings with it key stability fixes which address some of the game's known crashes, which were not detailed in the report.
