'Making A Murderer Season 2' Spoilers and Updates: Newly-appointed Lawyer of Steven Avery Announces Witnesses Anew
Netflix's well-accepted documentary series 'Making a Murderer' may open season 2 with new angles
A new set of witnesses will come forward to help in solving the case of Steven Avery, Netflix's "Making a Murderer" documentary series' main subject. This was confirmed by his newly-appointed defense attorney, Kathleen Zellner, who made the statement last September 4 on her twitter account.
They began to appear before Zellner after the court made a decision to re-examine prior evidences. The investigators used modern technology and advanced science to re-examine the evidences.
'Making A Murderer' Season 2 Story Development
Other than this development, no information about the persons and their locations were disclosed. There were also no reported details why they came forward after the results of the re-examination came out.
Zellner seems to be confident about how the case is unfolding. Avery's case can be constituted from how the case of Brendan Dassey went last August. Dassey is Avery's nephew and is also one of the central figure in the documentary series.
Dassey is set to be discharged from prison by November 12. However, the state can still appeal for Dassey's overturn until September 12.
How will Dassey Cope after Prison?
Instead of being happy about it, the 26-year-old is afraid of the unknown that is waiting for him outside the jail. Dassey has been in prison for ten years, immediately after he was charged of the murder of his aunt, Teresa Halbach. Dassey's story was portrayed through reenactment and official accounts on "Making A Murderer" Season One. It showed how Dassey struggled with the case as a teenager up to the changed man that he is now. If his release will become final, Dassey will have to deal with the new world. Ten years of being in prison is a long time and it may take him a while before he gets used to it. He also has to deal with the fame he acquired from being the central figure of Netflix's documentary series.
Due to the possibility of the case going to a different direction, Avery and his nephew Dassey are still at risk of getting a life sentence. Viewers have divided analyses about the case. Some say that the perpetrator is guilty, while others disagree and point out the injustices happening behind the Sheriff Department.
Right now, creators of the documentary series may probably be recording the developments of Avery and Dassey's case.
Since the case of Avery is under trial, Netflix remained silent about the production of the upcoming season. The streaming website does not have a final schedule yet for the release of "Making a Murderer" Season 2.
