Maks Chmerkovskiy Purposefully Missed 'Dancing With the Stars' Episode Because of Feud With Vanessa Lachey?
Maks Chmerkovskiy just missed the latest episode of "Dancing with the Stars," and this may have something to do with his partner, Vanessa Lachey.
Emotions were definitely high in the latest airing of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars." Monday night's show began with host Tom Bergeron dedicating the episode to all of those who had been affected by the horrific Las Vegas shooting. Afterwards, co-host Erin Andrews would then announce that "DWTS" pro Maks Chmerkovskiy would not be participating in the show due to "personal reasons."
"Maks is dealing with a personal issue so Alan is stepping in and dancing with Vanessa tonight," Andrews announced while also informing everyone that Alan Bersten, who was just recently eliminated with his partner Debbie Gibson last week, will be dancing with Vanessa Lachey instead.

With this news, it seems like all isn't well between Maks and his partner. According to People magazine, a source claimed that the "DWTS" veteran had purposefully skipped the show due to a feud with Lachey.
"There's a big chemistry issue. They both have big personalities and that's not always the best recipe for a good partnership," a source told People. This is definitely in contrast with Lachey's earlier statements praising Chmerkovskiy as the best coach. However, the source further claimed that the two have been bickering non-stop ever since the season's first week, and it looks like Chmerkovskiy was finally fed up.
Vanessa's husband, Nick, is also competing on the show and is partnered with Chmerkovskiy's wife, Peta Murgatroyd. When it comes to "DWTS" fans, the pro dancers hold a rather important place in their hearts and it is possible that they are as if not more popular than the stars themselves which may be the reason why both Vanessa and Maks aren't willing to back down.
This isn't the first time that Maks Chmerkovskiy had been in a feud with his partner. It should be remembered that he once called his season 13 partner Hope Solo as the only person he could dislike in the past, present and future.
