Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Fight News: Boxer Dines With Royalty, Mayweather Attends Game With Jay Z and Beyonce
Boxing fans are on alert for any news regarding the much anticipated Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao boxing match. It was previously reported that both camps are in the process of negotiating details for the richest fight in history, and the Filipino boxer has given Mayweather an end-of-January deadline to sign the contract. Once the American boxer signs on the dotted line, this will result to the match to happen on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
While the boxers are waiting for each other to make the next move, both have been seen in the company of some of the most famous figures in the world today. Pacquiao and his wife Jinky have been recently invited by Prince Harry to dine with him at Buckingham Palace. According to the Daily Mail, the boxer was humbled to be in the presence of royalty as he was invited to dinner before being given a tour of the palace.
The Pac-man took to Instagram to share a picture of him and his wife alongside Prince Harry. He posted another picture of him presenting a signed pair of boxing gloves to the Prince.
"Dinner with Prince Harry is so nice thank you Lord," wrote Pacquiao on the photo sharing app.
Meanwhile, Mayweather was at an NBA game on Thursday night. His presence at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for a game between the L.A. Clippers and the Brooklyn Nets reportedly led to fans chanting, "We want Pacquiao, we want Pacquiao." Mayweather was joined at the game by Jay Z and Beyonce and his friend Justin Bieber.
Robert Morales, an L.A. based basketball reporter, took to Twitter and wrote, "With Floyd Mayweather Jr. on hand at Clippers game, fans chanting, "We want Pacquiao, we want Pacquiao.' #Clippers #boxing #makethefight."
The fight, which is more than five years in the making, is said to be worth more than $200 million and Pacquiao has reportedly agreed to 40 percent of the winnings.
