'Marvel's The Punisher' Latest News: New Images Featuring Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle Released
"Marvel's The Punisher" has been long anticipated by fans and now, Netflix has released a few images that give glimpses of the new Frank Castle as well as the rest of the cast.
Marvel is home to a wide number of superheroes that many are familiar with, but out of all these characters, there is no doubt that The Punisher is one of the most recognizable superhero names in the Marvel universe. Now, Netflix has finally released a couple of new images for their upcoming "The Punisher" series, giving expectant fans a brief glimpse of the characters that the show will revolve around including protagonist Frank Castle played by "The Walking Dead" actor Jon Bernthal.
These images follow a teaser trailer earlier released back in August as well as a motion poster that details the show's militaristic theme.

"After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York's criminal underworld. Now known throughout the city as The Punisher, he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone," Netflix says in the series' synopsis.
The Netflix character was first shown on the TV series "Daredevil" before announcing that "The Punisher" will get its own show. Jon Bernthal was immediately attached to portray the titular role, and in doing so, he will become the fourth actor to do so.
"There's a pressure there to stepping into an unbelievably iconic role," Bernthal says in an interview with Complex. "The responsibility here is to do justice to the iterations of the character that have come before me, but then obviously to make it unique, and to make it real, and to make it mine," he added.
So far, no release date has been announced yet for "Marvel's The Punisher."
