Meizu MX5 Pro Rumors, Specs, Release Date: Upcoming Flagship to Boast QHD Display, 4GB RAM, Exynos 7420 SoC

The Meizu MX5 Pro flagship is one of the most interesting flagships this year from China. That's because it does not only aim at the mass market, but also get the interest of the enterprise market.

A new report from GSM Arena pointed to a rumor that the upcoming Meizu flagship will arrive with a QHD or 2K resolution, a whopping 4GB of RAM, and a a flat glass pane that covers it back.

Compared to the 'regular' MX5, the MX5 Pro will get 1GB more RAM, probably to help power the device's 6-inch display. Speaking of the Meizu handset's screen, the MX5 Pro has a 2K resolution but with a slightly unusual 15:9 ratio, which results in a resolution of 2,560 x 1,536.

However, what separates the Meizu MX5 Pro from its siblings, particularly the MX5 is the alleged Exynos 7420 chipset. In case you are wondering why it sounds familiar, that is because it is the chipset used by Samsung for its Galaxy S6 flagship which launched earlier this year.

As for camera resolution, the only detail revealed is that of the primary shooter, which gets a 20.7MP sensor that can shoot 2160p videos and clips.

While there are no exact details about availability or pricing, the Meizu MX5 Pro should be announced some time next month based on the report.
