'Metal Gear Online' DLC Update: New Maps, Survival Mode And More Expected
Stealth third-person shooter video game "Metal Gear Online" is thriving amidst the controversies by bringing fans something to look forward to. According to Geek, developer Konami Productions revealed in their official Metal Gear Online account that they will still be bringing new DLC for the game.
It was previously reported that Kojima Productions LA had a surprise closure last month. Many were worried for the future of "Metal Gear Online" especially since it hit consoles just recently last year. But Konami has spoken up and they have brought good news with them, including the fact that they are not abandoning the game.
The new content that is coming is the most tangible proof to that. As noted in iDigital Times, the game will be getting new maps and a new game mode which is the Survival Mode. A lot more is also in store which fans will have to wait and see what it will be.
Not a lot of details were revealed about the new contents but if the new Survival mode will be like the old version, players can expect it to involve winning streaks so that they can get Reward points. As for the new maps, it's predicted to contain locations from the previous games in the series.
Konami is currently in the works for the DLC and Movie News Guide noted that it may be released sometime this month. But there's no official date yet on when "Metal Gear Online" will arrive to the PC version on Steam. Nonetheless, fans are just glad that Konami still has plans to support the online alternate of "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain."
In another note, Konami has released the patch 1.02 for the game. Gamers can now easily level up their characters. Just as long they have the required amount of XP that is needed to get to each level being reduced, then they're good to go. The patch also brought along some tweaks.
