Metta World Peace Movie Confirmed for Lifetime, to Feature Jennie Garth

Metta World Peace's movie will feature on Lifetime and feature Jennie Garth, according to new reports out this week.

The news will delight his fans who have been following rumors about a movie featuring World Peace for some time. The news about World Peace featuring on the small screen was broken by William Keck of TV Guide.

The film will be based on a new novel by Nancy Grace, who is the legal commentator on CNN, as well as a former contestant on Dancing With the Stars.

Grace and World Peace have been close since the pair came together for the hit reality TV show on the ABC network. It now appears as if that relationship has led Grace to ask World Peace to feature in the movie adaptation of the novel "The Eleventh Victim."

It has also been confirmed that the film will be landing in the fall, which might be a long wait for his ardent fans.

Reports claim that World Peace will play Garlan Fincher, who is described by TV Guide as "a Georgia detective who works very closely with Atlanta Assistant District Attorney Hailey Dean."

Metta World Peace is an NBA star, whose previous name was Ron Artest, before he legally changed it to the more elaborate name.

He is not the first to do such a thing. "Fast And The Furious" actor Vin Diesel was also originally Mark Sinclair Vincent but cut short his surname to create Vin, and added Diesel.

Former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Mark Kirby Dupas changed his name to Mark Super Duper in 1985, and The New England Patriots' star receiver Chad Ochocinco changed his name in 2008 from Chad Johnson but has announced that he plans on going back to his original name.
