Miami Heat Schedule Extends to Finals After Decisive Victory Over Pacers

Last night LeBron James led the Miami Heat to a victory with an Eastern Conference Finals game seven win over the Indiana Pacers. Though the series had been hotly contested, the Heat won decisively, 99-76. The win was largely due to huge contributions from LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Ray Allen.

James scored 32 points and tore down eight rebounds. Ray Allen, no stranger to the playoffs, also had a strong showing, adding 10 points and hitting a few key three pointers. Most notably, Allen knocked down an inspiring three late in the second quarter, when the Heat and Pacers were tied at 23.

Wade had been quiet throughout the series. He was averaging just 14.5 points per game. However, last night, he rose to the occasion and put up big numbers for Miami. He scored 21 points and grabbed 9 rebounds, making him the second-highest scorer of the night.

Star Chris Bosh only had 9 points, but he managed to pull down 8 rebounds.

With the Eastern Conference Championship under their belt, James and the Heat will face the San Antonio Spurs in the finals. The first game of the seven-game series will begin this Thursday at 9 p.m. The Heat will enjoy the home-court advantage for the first two games. Games six and seven, if needed, will also be in Miami.

The outcome of the series will likely rest on how Chris Bosh matches up with Spurs center Tim Duncan. If the Heat expect to win, Bosh will have to step up defensively and stop Duncan. It will also be interesting to watch how the Heat will handle Spurs point guard and leading scorer Tony Parker.

If the Heat can limit the offensive efforts of Duncan and Parker, and if LeBron and Wade can keep up their high scoring, there is a good chance they'll be bringing another championship trophy to Miami.
