'Midnight, Texas' Gets Official Trailer

NBC recently debuted the first full series trailer for their upcoming supernatural horror series, "Midnight, Texas."

The upcoming series is based on the best-selling book by Charlaine Harris — author of the novels that inspired HBO's supernatural drama "True Blood." "Midnight, Texas" stars François Arnaud as Manfred, a charming and powerful psychic with the ability to communicate with spirits. He finds refuge in Midnight, a place where he has allied himself with humans and other supernatural beings.

Midnight is also the place of residence of Bobo (Dylan Bruce), the owner of Midnight's local pawn shop; Fiji (Parisa Fitz-Henley), a witch who runs the local wiccan shop; Olivia (Arielle Kebbel), an enigmatic assassin who possesses different weapons for a variety of occasions; Joe (Jason Lewis), a millennia-old angel aware of all of Midnight's secrets; and Lemuel (Peter Mensah), a wise vampire who has a very long history with Midnight.

The series also stars Sarah Ramos as Creek, an ambitious and aspiring writer; and Yul Vazquez as Rev. Emilio Sheehan, a supernatural being unable to resist the power of the full moon.

In the trailer, Manfred is seen arriving in Midnight and the zombie-like passenger in his car tells him, "You'll be safe in Midnight." Later on, it becomes evident that Midnight is actually a haven for supernatural outsiders, and Manfred soon discovers that he isn't the only odd kid on the block.

In a recent interview with CinemaBlend, Bruce discussed the amount of violence that viewers can expect from the show, which airs in the late primetime hour. He said:

"It's up there for a network, it's pretty violent. It's over the top. It's a crazy show, but at the same time, you got romance and relationships that ground it in reality...fully fleshed out. But I mean, on 'Orphan Black,' I was always like 'Can I get a fight scene? I'm like this badass ex-operative, gimme something.' And they wait till the end to give me something. I don't think you'll have to wait too long on this show for Bobo to go to work."

"Midnight, Texas" premieres on Tuesday, July 25 at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
