Mila Kunis Gives Cold Interview, Slams 'Weird' Questions About Ukraine, Reporter Claims

Mila Kunis recently gave a cold interview while promoting her new film "Third Person," it has been claimed.

Stephen Whitty, a Star-Ledger reporter, recently shared his interview experience and critics have blasted Kunis for coming across as surly and blunt during the interview. Whitty described the 25-minute phone conversation as being "bumpy ride" from the get-go.

"I don't talk about that for publication," Kunis said after Whitty began by asking how the actress was feeling.

From then on the interview went down hill, according to Whitty, who at one point admittedly wondered whether he was in fact being "Punk'd."

"Every question I ask over the next 25 minutes seems to strike her as either dull, insulting or burdened by some sort of agenda," Whitty wrote.

Kunis, 30, was born in Ukraine and moved America when she was 7 years old, however, when Whitty attempted to ask about the actress' heritage, he was completely shut down. The awkward moment was just one of many.

"I've talked about me moving to America in a hundred interviews. It's the most mundane subject possible, it's like everyone's immigrant story. It was much harder for my 13-year-old brother, it was much harder for my parents," Kunis snapped.

"I know what your next question is so let's just skip it," she concluded. "You're going to ask me what I think about what's going on now in Ukraine. Just because I lived there until I was seven doesn't mean I identify with Ukraine."

The actress, who is Jewish, proceeded to complain about Whitty's seemingly-innocent question.

"It just seems weird to do an interview about Third Person and then it becomes about Ukraine, and that's the headline," she said.

"I do interviews and they seem like they're supposed to be one thing, and the writer has an idea, and then they become something else," she went on.

Kunis is currently expecting her first child with Ashton Kutcher, 36, and the engaged couple is yet to reveal the due date.
