Montreal Canadiens vs New York Rangers Live Stream Free: Watch Game 4 NHL 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs Online (NBC TV Start Time)
The Montreal Canadiens will play the New York Rangers in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference Finals, as the NHL 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs continue. The Canadiens have the chance to get right back into this series if they can win again today, however, the Rangers will be trying to take advantage of their home ice to move to within one more win of the Stanley Cup 2014 Championship Game. The game starts at 8 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the NBC network or online through free live stream (details below).
The Canadiens must have been expecting the worst when the Rangers leveled late in Game 3 to take the game into overtime. The Canadiens had looked good to claim the win to bring them back into the series, but it must have been demoralizing to see the Rangers pull level in the final minute of regulation time.
However, the team showed their character and why they have won a record number of Stanley Cup titles. Alex Galchenyuk in particular refused to be deflated and got on with the job at hand, and the Canadiens managed to finally claim the win just minutes into the overtime period.
That 3-2 win for the Canadiens has brought them back to 1-2 in the series and if they can replicate that win today then they would be level with Game 5 going back to Montreal. They would become the ones in the driving seat and the momentum would be firmly back in their corner.
The Rangers will know how important today's game is and how much is at stake. If they can maintain home ice advantage and go 3-1 up, that is a world of difference to dropping back to 2-2, knowing that two of the final three games will take place on the road.
If they can move to 3-1 today they would be reasonably confident of winning one of the final three games to progress to the Stanley Cup Final.
