'Narcos' Season 2 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: The Show Will 'Slow Down' the Events of Pablo Escobar's Life in Season 2
Eversince "Narcos" was confirmed to come back for a second season last Sep. 3, fans have been patiently waiting for news about season 2. According to speculations, "Narcos" season 2 will cover Pablo Escobar's (Wagner Moura) escape, and the story line will "slow down."
According to reports, "Narcos" will be back with its second season, which will cover the life of the notorious drug kingpin from his escape in 1992 from "La Catedral." The website added that since there is a little time left from Escobar's escape to his death in the latter part of 1993, the story line that will be running on "Narcos" season 2 will be much slower.
Season 1 already covered most of the lead character's life story, which started from how he began dealing cocaine until he became a well-known cocaine kingpin. Because of his "success," the Colombia drug dealer became "one of the wealthiest" in the world.
The first season was released on Netflix on Aug. 28, and "Narcos" season 2 was immediately confirmed, after just a few days, on the series' official Twitter account. The short video clip posted showed a luggage being X-rayed, and on the X-ray, it reads, "Season 2." Netflix captioned the video, "Coming soon. #Narcos."
On the other hand, Deadline confirmed that Eric Lange, from "The Bridge," will join the cast as Stechner. The website described his character as a "formidable Special Agent in Charge of the CIA office in Medellin who has been tasked with working alongside the DEA." The article also added that the United States DEA, or the Drug Enforcement Administration, now plans to ultimately kill Escobar. Fans know that Escobar is based on a real-life historical figure, so most know how it ends for him.
'"Narcos" season 2 still has no confirmed release date, but it is expected to come out next year.
