NBA News 2015: Eric Moreland Breaks Bone In Left Foot, Golden State Warriors Bounce Back After First Loss Of Season

Sacramento Kings power forward Eric Moreland has been deemed out indefinitely after suffering a fractured bone on his left foot.

In a report by CBS Sports, Moreland's injury, which requires surgery, happened during a practice session on Wednesday. In another report by ESPN, the 23-year old player broke the fifth metatarsal of his left foot.

In a separate report by Fansided, this is not the first long-term injury that Moreland sustained. In his rookie year in 2014, he also suffered a shoulder injury in the middle of the season, which forced him to the sidelines for the rest of the year.

Throughout the five games he has played so far, Moreland has put out very low numbers, given the limited playing time he receives. Averaging only 4.8 minutes per game, so far, he has piled in 0.8 points on 66.7% field goal shooting, as written in ESPN. He is also averaging 1.2 rebounds per game, and 0.8 blocks.

Meanwhile, defending champions Golden State Warriors have bounced back from their first loss of the season by defeating the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night, with a score of 128-103.

In a report by USA Today, reigning 2015 Most Valuable Player awardee Steph Curry scored 25 points on 10 out of 14 shooting. He also added in seven assists. Forward Draymond Green contributed 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. The Golden State Warriors' top scorer for the night was Klay Thompson who scored 43 points. He hit 8-of-14 three-point shots and 15-of-22 field goals.

Phoenix Suns coach and former Utah Jazz guard Jeff Hornacek was all praises for the Warriors' performance, adding that when playing against the defending champions, each team needs to be on their A-game.

"You have to do everything right against these guys," said Hornacek. "We did it pretty decent for 18 minutes but you have to do it for all 48 minutes because they put them up quickly."

The Warriors are slated to play against the Milwaukee Bucks next, on Friday night, at home.
