NBA Rumors 2016: Nick Young Involved in Rumored Blockbuster Trade; Lakers Trying to Get DeMarcus Cousins On Board
Over the past year, two events made the biggest noise for the Los Angeles Lakers last season. Number one, the retirement of Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, who brought the team five championships and was rightfully given a treatment fit for a king.
Number two, however, was not as prestigious, nor was it good. D'Angelo Russell was a standout rookie for Los Angeles last year, finishing with impressive numbers in what was an otherwise lackluster 2015-16 season for his team. But the bigger news was his prank on Nick Young, secretly shooting a video of the latter admitting he cheated on his then-fiancée, Iggy Azalea.
Swaggy P had always been a volatile presence for a team trying to rise above discord and the recent fiascos he had been involved in might earn him a ticket out of LA.

Swaggy P to Sacramento?
Nick Young had been involved in some trade rumors during the off-season, particularly a trade that will send him to Cleveland for fellow guard-forward Iman Shumpert. The exchange seems logical as the Lakers would need a tenacious defender to mentor young stars Russell and Brandon Ingram on the wing.
The latest rumor citing his name is a potential blockbuster trade between NBA mid-carders Sacramento Kings, Denver Nuggets and the Lakers. The deal looks to send him, Lou Williams, sophomore forward Julius Randle, off-season acquisition Jose Calderon and 2017 first-round pick to the Kings, in exchange for superstar DeMarcus Cousins. The Nuggets, meanwhile, ships forward Wilson Chandler to LA, getting Sac-town's Rudy Gay and a Lakers 2017 second-rounder in the process.
The multi-player deal will provide the star power LA needs following Kobe's departure and consecutive seasons at the bottom of the standings, acquiring a franchise center in Cousins. The Kings would get rid of their bad relationship with Cousins and acquire a younger replacement in Julius Randle.
Young finds new love?
Reports came out that Young is making efforts to mend ties with Azalea and Russell, looking to bring back the strength of his relationship with his former flame. He also defended Russell from hecklers telling the latter to "hide his phone".
However, it looks like an Iggy-Swaggy P reconciliation is not bound to happen, at least according to recent news. Young was caught by the TMZ camera locking lips with his apparent date, singer Paloma Ford. Both stars knew the media was following them and seemed to have made sure everyone saw the kiss.
