The Eagles have been impressive thus far against the Cleveland Browns and the Chicago Bears, with the magnifying glass on the outstanding play of rookie quarterback Carson Wentz. Wentz was picked No. 2 overall in the 2016 NFL Draft and had since proven doubters wrong.

No. 1 pick Jared Goff is listed inactive in the season opener for the Los Angeles Rams, and had only recently moved up to the backup spot. Wentz, meanwhile, started in the Eagles' first game of the season, right after the team traded Sam Bradford to the Vikings for high draft picks.

But the focus on Wentz's can put a lot of pressure on the young guy, especially in a game against one of the early Super Bowl favorites. The rookie will be forced to throw good feeds, and offensive coordinator Frank Reich and running back Ryan Mathews must take advantage of Wentz' passing skill.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Most experts favor the Steelers in this game and they have few reasons to doubt their choice. While the Eagles were unexpectedly good at the start of the season, the Steelers have never been better.

Last season, they were without the services of Ben Roethlisberger, one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Eagles coach Doug Pederson said Big Ben was a big, strong, physical matchup in the pocket. Thus, he was the standard Wentz went up against after the draft.

Antonio Brown solidified himself as one of the most lethal wide receivers in the NFL, while veteran DeAngelo Williams leads the league in rushing at 33 years old. Overall, the Steelers are second in rush defense, taking advantage of every opportunity on both ends of the field.

Fans can watch the Week 3 matchup on Sunday, Sept. 25 at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, the Eagles' home stadium. The game kicks off at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS, and online through the NFL Game Pass.
