Nina Dobrev Returning to Vampire Diaries Rumors: Series Wants Actress Back on the Show?
In what could be one of the most exciting news that has ever emerged about Nina Dobrev and her recent activities, it seems that she "might" have a chance to get back on the set of "The Vampire Diaries."
Dobrev left the set last season, and while many fans were broken-hearted by her exit, the season minus Elena was still successful and appeared to have no marks of the character's disappearance.
On the other hand, fans are requesting that Dobrev make a comeback so an Elena-Damon reunion can be celebrated soon. It turns out that the executives are open to the idea.
In a recent interview with Variety, creator Julie Plec said "Yes, I miss her deeply and would take her back in an instant if she called and said, 'Hey, can I come back and play?'"
The executive's statements immediately drove show's fans crazy and rumors of an upcoming reunion started flying online. However, it seems that there is no chance Dobrev will make that call to Plec as she said last year that she is done with the series and is looking forward to new adventures in the industry.
It was also reported that Dobrev ran into former flame and former costar Ian Somerhalder and his wife, Nikki Reed, during the Golden Globes and they reportedly had a short chat. It is unclear what the three talked about, but during Somerhalder's red carpet walk with Reed, he looked really happy. This only means that the "Dobrevhalder" fanbase won't see anything more than friendship soon.
Since Dobrev went to the Golden Globes minus new beau Austin Stowell, it has been speculated that the two may be experiencing some trouble in their relationship. For the most part, Somerhalder seems to be over Dobrev, but there have been reports that the latter may not have completely moved on.
Meanwhile, Dobrev is busy slamming all the rumors about her rocky relationship with the "Dancing With the Stars" judge as she was spotted celebrating her birthday with Stowell.
