Nintendo NX Release Date News: Analyst Says Console Will Release This Year
In what could be one of the most daring speculations ever made about the much-awaited console from Nintendo, an analyst says the NX may be out for fans to purchase before 2016 comes to a close.
In a post on Barrons, analyst Junko Yamamura reportedly said Nintendo will release the much-awaited console before 2017 comes, which means that the company may have stepped up in developing the console that seeks to quench every feature that previous platforms from the company have offered.
The outlet further states that Nomura Securities "accidentally" dished some info about the upcoming console. Set to be unveiled in June, the NX is reportedly on the road toward totally slamming the sales figures that 3Ds and the Wii U have acquired over the years — which could mean that Nintendo is going to unveil the console of consoles.
Aside from the expectations that Nomura Securities slipped, information about the pricing has also been revealed. From 21,900 yen, the NX is said to have a price tag of 17,300 yen, which will make it more affordable to gamers who can't afford the initial price.
Releasing the NX for sales before 2019 or 2020 would be a good move for Nintento. It should be noted that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are continuously being patronized all around the globe, despite news that both Sony and Microsoft are now working on the platforms' successors.
Also, the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Two are expected to release in less than five years. If Nintendo successfully releases a console that proves to be much better than its predecessors, the legendary console and gaming developer can finally be back in the competition.
Rumor has it that the NX may come as a mix-up of the Wii U and the GameCube pad, which means it will be a unique device compared to other platforms in the market. Other rumors suggest that it will be a hybrid version of hand-held devices and a console, making some fans speculate that it will probably have a wireless, Bluetooth-powered device for control.
