Nokia 10 Specs, Release Date: Leaked Sketches Reveal Potential Penta-Lens Design
While manufacturers are working to put two rear cameras on their flagship, HMD Global is busy finding a way to slot in five snappers on its next flagship, the Nokia 10.
Nokia Power User got their hands on brand new sketched images of the unannounced smartphone provided by a "trusted" Nokia leakster.
As per the sketches, the Nokia 10's penta-lens configuration will look much that of a dual camera setup, but it will accommodate extra lenses inside the module that can rotate for focal length adjustment.
They sit between the camera sensor and a normal fixed lens. Users who followed the Lumia would see a resemblance of the design to that of the Lumia 1020.
There also appears to be a secondary camera at the top of the said module. Some of the features reportedly include wider field of view, and bokeh among many others.
A previous report suggested that the penta-lens setup on the Nokia 10 will come with seven cutouts — five to accommodate the camera lenses and the other two will house the LED flashlights.
A second sketch shows the Nokia 9, which is also yet to be confirmed. This one has a dual camera setup and a fingerprint scanner on the back.
As for the rest of the specs of the Nokia 10, the device will reportedly be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The handset will feature minimal bezels and an 18:9 display. It will also reportedly come with a 3D glass front and back.
With regards to the release date, the Nokia 10 is expected to be unveiled at the IFA 2018 in Berlin this September so there should be more concrete information on the handset.
The Nokia 10 is just one of the many handsets HMD Global is preparing for launch. Next week at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), the Finnish company is expected to unveil the Nokia 7 Plus.
