Nokia 2520 Review: Specs and Features Overview
Though it's taken a long time, Nokia made the leap into the competitive tablet market by introducing its Nokia Lumia 2520 last year. The device runs on Windows RT, and has the same colorful look as other Lumia devices.
Design:
The tablet is slim and measures 0.35 x 10.5 x 6.6 inches and weighs 1.35 pounds. It's instantly recognizable as a Lumia device, thanks to its colorful shell that comes in white, red, black, and cyan. The tablet has a polycarbonate plastic chassis with a glossy finish. It's very comfortable to hold, with smooth edges and rounded corners.
Features:
The Nokia Lumia 2520 has a 10.1-inch display with capacitive multi-touch and 1920 x 1080 resolution. The IPS LCD display gives wide viewing angles, and it's covered by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
The device has 32GB storage on board, but it can be expanded with a microSD card up to 64GB. A quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB RAM powers the device and it runs on Windows RT 8.1.
The Lumia 2520 comes with Microsoft Office RT 2013, so one can use RT versions of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook for work. The device comes with Nokia apps such as Nokia Video Director, Nokia Storyteller, Nokia Camera, and My Nokia. Those who like to travel may find the pre-installed HERE Maps app useful because it offers trip planning and travel directions using GPS. Other apps can be downloaded from the Windows Store.
The device has a 6.7MP rear-facing camera with Zeiss optics and 4X digital zoom. The 2MP front-facing camera makes for decent selfies.
Price:
The Nokia 2520 costs $399.
