'Once Upon A Time' Recap/Update: What Dark Plans Does Emma Have In Store For Storybrooke?

The town of Storybrooke may be in grave danger from the sinister plans of The Dark One. The exact nature of these plans are said to be revealed in the upcoming two-episode airing of the fairy tale TV series "Once Upon A Time" on November 15. The upcoming episodes follow the events after Emma, as the Dark One, successfully re-forged the sword Excalibur with the dagger of the Dark One, according to a Tech Times report.

A recap of Episode 7 titled "Nimue" showed the back story of the great wizard Merlin and his love, Nimue. This back story is about Merlin's love for the young Nimue, which pushed him to destroy the source of his magical powers and his immortality, the Holy Grail. According to a TV Line recap, Merlin, who is saddened by the fact that he will outlive his love because of his immortality, forged the Holy Grail into a sword he called Excalibur so that his magic is "cut away," placing him and Nimue "on equal footing."

Nimue, as it turned out, had more sinister things in mind. She secretly drank from the Holy Grail, without Merlin's knowledge, to obtain magical powers and used these powers to kill Vortigan. In the previous episode, she is revealed to be the first person to become the Dark One.

Nimue plays a role in the present time when Merlin and Emma, who is the present-day Dark One, try to summon her back so that they can get a hold of the ember that is capable of forging the broken Excalibur and the Dark One's dagger back again. Emma is able to grab the ember away from Nimue and escape back to Camelot with Merlin.

The last part of the episode shows Emma successfully reuniting the broken Excalibur and the dagger, after which she holds it in her hand, despite Merlin's earlier warning for her to "leave the sword alone."

In a promotional trailer for the next two episodes, Emma is indeed wielding the sword which may possibly bring unmentionable havoc to Storybrooke and everyone in it. Emma is seen talking to Captain Hook who has professed his love for her again, saying, "You really want to know the truth no matter how awful?" Hook replies with a simple, "I do."
