'Once Upon a Time' Season 5 Spoilers: Regina Meets Her Enemies Again

A familiar character will be surprising many of the Storybrooke characters when "Once Upon a Time" season 5 airs in a couple of months.

It was revealed that Regina will also have the unfortunate opportunity to encounter some of her past rivals. In the upcoming midseason premiere titled "Souls of the Departed," Regina will be dealing with many of the characters she killed in the past.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Lana Parrilla recently shared some details about the matter. She stated, "She wants to confront these souls and these people that she has hurt, that she has killed. She's on the right path, and she's still on the path of redemption. She still wants to make amends with people and still trying to do the right thing. She's really embracing the hero within her."

With that, fans can expect that the upcoming episode will feature Regina's growth and journey to redemption.

Meanwhile, it was revealed that Emma could also be reunited with someone who used to be an important part of his life. There are hints pointing at the possibility of Neal's return. While some fans could be surprised to see Neal in the Underworld, it was reported that it could be due to the unfinished business he had with the people he left.

The creator of the series, Adam Horowitz, recently spoke to TV Line about the upcoming look into the Underwold. He stated, "The Underworld, which in small part 'looks like a screwed-up version of Storybrooke. That impetus is the tip of the iceberg/ That's just our entry way to another world and a wealth of stories that impact all our characters.'"

The Underworld is also expected to introduce new characters such as Hades, who will be played by Greg Germann.

"Once Upon a Time" season 5 will return with its midseason premiere this Mar. 6.
