'Once Upon a Time' Season 5 Spoilers: Characters Go To The Underworld To Save Hook?

The midseason premiere of "Once Upon a Time" season 5 is expected to see the characters heading over to the Underworld to save Hook.

While fans are excited to explore a new realm in the series, the executive producers told fans that the Underworld will be similar to the look of Storybrooke. According to a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Adam Horowitz shared some details about what to expect regarding the Underworld.

He said that there is a reason as to why the Underworld will look like Storybrooke. He explained that this is due to the mentality of the characters that the show will reveal in the episodes to come. He stated, "So while we don't want to spoil it, we can say that there is a very specific reason why it looks like Storybrooke, and it has to do with some of the folks we're gonna meet down there."

It was also said that those living in the Underworld will be souls with unfinished business. With that, they will be holding grudges against those who are still residing in Storybrooke. Because of this, fans can expect tension and conflict to arise as the group traverses through the Underworld.

The synopsis for the midseason premiere of the season was recently revealed. According to Spoiler TV, the synopsis for upcoming episode, titled "Souls of the Departed" reads, "Emma, Regina, Mary Margaret, David, Robin, Henry and Gold arrive in the Underworld, on a mission to rescue Hook, only to discover that their search will be more difficult than they had anticipated. The inhabitants of the Underworld — all souls with unfinished business and many with quite personal vendettas — hound our heroes at every turn."

With that, fans can expect the midseason premiere to be eventful. The midseason premiere of "Once Upon a Time" season 5 is expected to air on ABC this Mar. 6.
