'Once Upon A Time' Season 6 Spoilers, Premiere Date and News: 'Multiple' Saviors to Appear Next Season; Could One Of Them Be Regina Mills?

"Once Upon A Time" (OUAT) Season 6 is slowly upon us. But the spoilers just keep coming in before the season premiere this Sunday, Sept. 25. It seems that fans should expect "multiple" saviors in OUAT Season 6. Not only that, Regina Mills (played by Lana Parrilla), herself the split personality of the Evil Queen, could be the key to finally snuffing out the villainess of Storybrooke!

Recap of "Once Upon A Time" Season 5

Fans would recall that in OUAT Season 5, Regina attempted to split herself from her alter ego, the Evil Queen. But she failed, and instead unleashed her evil persona out onto the world, and has vowed to spread destruction across the OUAT universe.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lana Parrilla talked about how she was actually playing two Reginas instead of one with a split personality: the Evil Queen and the "hero" Regina. The OUAT star had posted a Facebook video where she's seen learning how to sword fight, while leaked photos also revealed Regina battling Mr. Hyde (Sam Witwer). These could mean that Regina might be up in arms for OUAT Season 6. Will she take on the same burden that Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) is currently carrying?

Emma's reaction to the "Savior"

In an interview with showrunners Adam Horowitz and Greg Kitsis, TVLine reported that Emma Swan reacts to the whole "new Savior" thing in multiple ways. It may be recalled that Emma went over to the "Dark Side" for a brief period of time in OUAT Season 5. Although she is back, her temporary crossing-over raised several questions about the possibilities of another Savior - not to replace her, but merely to augment where she might lack.

The "Once Upon A Time" showrunners said Emma will learn to see the pros and the cons of this new development. After all, being the Savior entails trying to help other people find their happy ending, a role that's worth sharing with others. What's more, Horowitz and Kitsis added, Emma will now have Regina on her side, instead of constantly worrying about her and her evil persona.

More bad guys?

But the Evil Queen and Mr. Hyde, it seems, are not the only people they ought to be worried about in OUAT Season 6. According to Parrilla, fans ought to watch out for new and returning villains, especially now that Storybrooke will be taking in refugees from the Land of Untold Stories. These include the Count of Monte Cristo (played by Craig Horner), Aladdin (Deniz Akdeniz), Jafar (Oded Fehr), and Scheherazade.

Excited for "Once Upon A Time" Season 6? The new season will premiere on Sept. 25.
