OnePlus 2 Mini Specs News: Device Approved by TENAA, Leaks Reveal 4.9-Inch Display, 3 GB of RAM
Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus will reportedly release a smaller version of their OnePlus 2 which was made available in July 2015. According to Tech 2, the OnePlus 2 Mini may come out soon as it has been spotted in TENAA, the telecommunications equipment certification center in China.
It has been approved already under the model number One E1000. Photos of the device have also been circulating online, along with the listing showed a similar look to the OnePlus X. As noted in GSM Arena, the listing in TENAA indicated that the OnePlus 2 Mini is said to sport a 4.9-inch full HD AMOLED display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution.
It will be pre-installed with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box and will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset clocked at 2GHz. An Adreno 430 GPU and 3 GB of RAM are also found under the hood.Aside from that, the listing indicated that the handset will have a 16 GB built-in storage capacity.
As for the camera specs, the OnePlus 2 Mini is said to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.
However, NDTV Gadgets detailed that TENAA's listing does not match the one that is found on GFXBench. According to the benchmarking website, the handset will only feature a 4.6-inch display. It also said that it will have a Snapdragon 810 processor clocked at 1.7GHz with 4 GB of RAM. The built-in storage is also bigger with a capacity of 64 GB. The cameras also sport 12-megapixel and 4.8-megapixel resolutions.
But since OnePlus has not made any official announcement yet, the listings released should be taken with a grain of salt. Fans who are looking forward to getting their hands on the device will have to wait for the official details.
Meanwhile, the handset is measured to be 140x69x6.9mm with a weight of 138 grams. Standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth and GPS are also expected. XDA noted that the OnePlus 2 Mini is expected to be the first device release in 2016.
