OnePlus 5T Release Date, Specs and Price: Latest Leak Offers Better Look at Upcoming Smartphone

After several leaks in the past months, the OnePlus 5T is expected to debut any time soon.

The One Plus 5 has just been released earlier this year, but fans are already anticipating its successor — the OnePlus 5T. Now, consumers might finally have an idea of what it looks like. VentureBeat's highly reliable tipster Evan Blass tweeted a photo of what is believed to be the smartphone's top half on Monday.

While there is not much to tell from the image, it is easy to point out the front-facing camera and sensors. Also seen in the image are a side button and a speaker. What may be interesting to most fans is the lack of side bezels, which seems to be the trend for upcoming smartphones.

According to an earlier leak (via The Verge), the OnePlus 5T will have a 20 MP front and rear snapper. It will run with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and Adreno 540 graphics processing unit (GPU), paired with 8 GB of random-access memory (RAM). The device's rumored 6-inch screen is said to boast a crisp 1,080 x 2,160 resolution.

Last week, OnePlus' CEO posted a tweet that fueled rumors the OnePlus 5T will have Samsung's active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) display as well. That may not be far from happening since the OnePlus 5 also featured the same screen.

Rumor has it that the upcoming OnePlus phone will look similar to the Oppo R11s that will be released in China this week. It's worth noting that both Oppo and OnePlus are owned by one company, and the previously released Oppo R11 and OnePlus 5 have a lot of similar features. There are speculations that the upcoming OnePlus 5T will have a bigger battery and an improved dual rear camera set up as well.

The OnePlus 5T is expected to be released in late November 2017. An exact launch date has yet to be announced.
