Oppo Announced F1 Plus Version; Specs Include 5.5-Inch Display, 4 GB of RAM, 13MP Camera
Chinese electronics manufacturer Oppo has recently announced the existence of higher-end variant of the F1 and it is called as the F1 Plus. According to Phone Radar, the device is part of the all-new F-series in India.
Those who are interested in buying one will have to wait for April, which is the expected release date of the device in the market. As detailed in Android Headlines, the Oppo F1 Plus offers a better set of specs compared to the mid-range F1. It's also a bit bigger in size as its sports a 5.5-inch display while the F1 only comes with a 5-inch display. The F1 Plus is also created with 1080p (1920 x 1080) resolution with 2.5D curved glass IPS and Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
In terms of the specs under the hood, the device is powered with a Snapdragon 616 64-bit octa-core processor with the same Adreno 405 GPU of the smaller variant. The RAM count is 4 GB while the built-in memory storage capacity is 32 GB, which can be expanded further up to 128 GB via microSD card slot.
According to International Business Times, the Oppo F1 Plus is a camera-centric handset just like the F1, except the Plus version flaunts a more sophisticated front camera. The megapixel count and the hardware details are not yet revealed but it's expected to surpass the 8-megapixel f/2.0 front snapper with a 1/4" sensor of the F1 variant. Meanwhile, the rear camera of the F1 Plus is said to be 13 megapixels with f/2.2, as noted in GSM Arena.
Moreover, the handset will have LTE connectivity and Dual-SIM support. The battery is not yet detailed as well but the F1 carries 2500 mAh with a Super Save Battery option. The design of the upcoming smartphone is also expected not to carry many changes, thus, it may have the same mirror image just like the Oppo R7s that was released last year.
The Oppo F1 Plus is tagged with a price of INR 26,990 or around $395.
