Oppo R7 Specs, Release Date: Upcoming Smartphone Reportedly Comes in 2 Versions
Ever since releasing the first smartphone with a swivel camera, Oppo has become more popular not just in its home market in China, but overseas as well. The phone maker continues to provide quality handsets with unique features to its consumers and buyers.
The R7, one of Oppo's long-rumored handsets, will reportedly be announced this month.
However, a new report may have confirmed that the Android device will come in two versions.
According to a report by Phone Arena, a listing at the Chinese FCC website revealed not one, but two Oppo R7 devices.
In the report, the difference between the two handsets is the chipsets that they run. The first one gets a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset with 1.5GHz octa-core CPUs, while the other packs a MediaTek MT6752 octa-core SoC clocked at. 1.7GHz.
The first variant, disguised under the model name R7c, will reportedly be available for China Telecom, while the second version named R7t will hit China Mobile stores.
Aside from the difference in chipset, the two Oppo R7 handsets still share identical specs.
The upcoming Android-powered handset boasts a 5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of built-in storage.
The camera department packs a 13MP and 8MP combination for the primary and selfie cameras, while a 2,320mAh battery powers the device.
Other features include a 2.5D glass for the screen, 6.5mm thickness, and Android 4.4.4 Kit Kat out of the box.
Based on previous reports, the Oppo R7 smartphones will be announced on May 20.
