'Orphan Black' Season 4 Spoilers: Delphine's Death Confirmed

A promotional video for the series "Orphan Black" was recently released by BBC America, which commemorated the characters who had passed away on the series.

Titled "Orphan Black S1 – S3: In Memoriam," the promotional video started off paying tribute to the first character who died on the series. Fans can now revisit the character of Beth Childs, played by Tatiana Maslany. The character that followed was Katja Obinger, who was another one of the clones played by Maslany.

The video then featured several other characters such as Aynsley Norris, Amelia, Brenda, Brenda's son, Tomas, Dr. Aldous Leekie, Tom, Daniel Rosen, Henrik Johanssen, Dr. Ethan Duncan, Seth, Parsons, Willard Finch, Paul Dierden, Terry, Kassov, Rudy, Dr. Alan Nealon, and Helena's pet Pukpok.

However, the video also revealed some shocking news that left fans heartbroken. The video confirmed the death of Delphine, played by Evelyne Brochu, who is also known as Cosima's romantic interest. The finale of season 3 showed her getting shot in a parking lot. However, fans remained hopeful about her fate, which makes the news disheartening.

Meanwhile, the executive producer of the series, John Fawcett, shared some interesting perspective on the matter. According to Entertainment Weekly, Fawcett stated, "Well, you know, I know this will be upsetting to many fans but the story in our minds has always been a tragic love story. I didn't want to say one way or the other. For us, I believe this is a horrible thing that had to happen."

In addition, the president of BBC America, Sarah Barnett, also shared some teasers about her fate. As reported by Slash Film, she stated, "I think so of the surprises, there'll be plot surprises for sure without a ton of crazy exposition, but I also think there will be some real, big character surprises."

"Orphan Black" season 4 is expected to premiere on BBC America this April.
