'Outlander' Season 2 News: Casting for 'Brianna Randall' Is Still Ongoing

Ever since "Outlander" was confirmed for another season, fans worldwide have been eagerly awaiting for its comeback. Besides looking forward to the main characters' new adventure in "Outlander" season 2, fans are also awaiting for the casting of Brianna Randall, Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire's (Caitriona Balfe) daughter.

During her interview with BBC News, Diana Gabaldon, the author of the "Outlander" series, said that the casting is still ongoing for Brianna. The time travelers' daughter's casting is being carefully selected to make sure that the show will find the appropriate character, according to Realty Today. The author admitted that up until now, the show has not yet found the actress fit for Brianna's role.

According to Carter Matt, the new season will be set in France, where Jamie and Claire discover that the world there is different from where they came from. The story will turn more political, since it was said that the couple will travel to France, not only to visit Jamie's family but also to stop the Battle of Culloden.

Meanwhile, "Outlander" also released a promotional photo on its Facebook page, and was captioned "Prepare yer tables. The holiday season is upon us." The photo shows several servants preparing a dinner table for what seems to be a very special and fancy party. Another photo was uploaded on the show's social media page soon after, and was captioned, "These seats won't be empty for long." And last Friday, the "table" was finally filled with guests, as seen on the latest photo that was released, which was captioned, "Gather 'round lads and lassies, today we feast. Slàinte mhath!"

According to Cross Map, the photos were released for the upcoming holiday season, but many fans also said that these could be some of the scenes that will be seen in the second season of "Outlander," once it comes back next year. The show's executive producer, Ron D. Moore, revealed that season 2 will either premiere in March or April.
