'Outlander' Season 3 Episode 12 Spoilers: The Frasers Plot to Free Young Ian from Captors

Following the Frasers' reunion in the previous episode of "Outlander," Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) plot to find Young Ian (John Bell) and free him from his captors in season 3 episode 12.

A teaser to the upcoming episode, "The Bakra," revealed Young Ian's abduction. Pirates took the boy and he could be sold as a slave, but will the Frasers free him without getting caught themselves?

Claire and Jamie don't have enough information about where to begin their search for Ian. A lavish ball in honor of the new governor might help as someone in the know could provide the assistance they need.

The ball is also a way for the Frasers to proceed with their search for Young Ian without attracting the authorities. Jamie, after all, is still wanted man for treason and murder and they have to be careful about their every move.

The Frasers will spot Young Ian being escorted by his captors. Jamie will be embroiled in a fight and cause a commotion. Viewers will have to watch to find out whether Young Ian or the Frasers get out of this fix when "Outlander" season 3 episode 12 airs Sunday, Dec. 3, at 8:00 p.m. on Starz.

Meanwhile, reports reveal that Starz executives and the show's producers are in early talks to renew "Outlander for season 5. Sony Television's Chris Parnell confirmed the discussions in an Entertainment Weekly interview.

"I can tell you there are early talks on us doing that, to absolutely not have an extended Droughtlander like we've had before," Parnell revealed. "That's the goal."

"Outlander" season 3, which is based on Diana Gabaldon's third book, "Voyager," ends its run on Dec. 10 with the episode called "Eye of the Storm." The show is then expected to return to the small screen in fall 2018 for season 4, which is currently in production. It's based on Gabaldon's "Drums of Autumn." The fifth season, on the other hand, will be adapted from the book "The Fiery Cross.
