Packers Fans Reality Show: 'Cheeseheads' Comes to TBS (VIDEO)

TBS announced Wednesday plans to develop a reality show surrounding the famously dedicated fan base of the Green Bay Packers.

In addition to a slew of other reality based, documentary styled shows, TBS has announced plans to develop "Cheeseheads." Still a working title, the new reality show would revolve around the dedicated fans of the Green Bay packers who live in the team's hometown of Wisconsin.

Packer's fans have made a particular fame for themselves, thanks to their dedication. Every Packers game at Lambeau Field has been sold out since 1960, according to the Dallas News. Packer's games are usually filled with green shirts and people wearing blocks of cheese over their head.

Named after the famed headgear, "Cheeseheads" will "take viewers into the hilarious subculture through the eyes of a group of proud Wisconsinites as they navigate life in the only way they know how – loud, proud and with lots of beer," TBS told RealScreen.com.

In addition to announcing new show, TBS and its sister company TNT, also announced the introduction of 24/7 live streaming for all on-air lineups.

"For a decade, we've been beating the drum the loudest – that cable is as good as broadcast," said Steve Koonin, president of Turner Entertainment Networks, which includes TBS and TNT, as well as truTV and Turner Classic Movies (TCM), in a statement. "Now, our industry has reached a tipping point. From creative strength to ratings power, cable has emerged as the leader in television. I'm proud of the role we've played at TNT and TBS. Today, we're looking toward the next horizon – becoming a multi-screen video company serving multiple audiences."

Excitement about the idea for "Cheeseheads" appeared prevalent across blogs.

"This should be pretty entertaining," one Internet user said on the new Packer's fan reality show.

"This is the perfect "reality" show," said another.
