Padres First Pitch Thrown by 105-Year-Old Woman; Agnes McKee Throws Better Than 50 Cent (VIDEO)

The Padres' first pitch was thrown by 105-year-old Agnes McKee Sunday at Petco Park in San Diego, according to reports. McKee became the oldest person to ever throw the first pitch at a baseball game and did markedly better than rapper 50 Cent, whose first pitch went wildly off target earlier this summer.

The Padres first pitch was thrown by McKee to catcher Rene Rivera and made it the short distance. McKee had turned 105 on Wednesday, and since Sundays are military days for the team and her husband was a veteran, she was given the special chance to make history, a Padres spokeswoman told UT San Diego.

McKee prepared for her first pitch by stretching every day, and regularly exercised with Wii Bowling, indoor skydiving, ballroom dancing and other activities. She also joined the morning exercise class at her retirement community, Fairwinds, in Oceanside, California.

"She is just a constant inspiration for people," said Thomas Fraser, who has been helping McKee practice pitching at Fairwinds. "Everyone always wants to be in her group for bridge."

McKee isn't stopping at throwing her first pitch, either. She now aims to walk without assistance -- currently she uses a walker.

"My doctor said I would never walk (unassisted) again," she told UT San Diego. "But I want to prove him wrong."

McKee's pitch, which was cheered by fans at the Padres-Mets game, is being compared to 50 Cent's terrible pitch at Citi Field at the end of May. The left-handed rapper's wind up looked decent, but his aim was way off as the ball sailed far left of home plate.

50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson III in nearby Jamaica, Queens, wore a custom Mets jersey for the occasion with his last name and signature number on the back. Most celebrities' poor pitches end up not making the entire 60-foot distance from the mound to the plate, but 50 did far worse— he missed catcher Anthony Recker by a mile and nearly hit the cameraman.

"Watch 50 Cent throw away his street cred," the Washington Times joked.

"50 Cent just threw a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad pitch," a Huffington post headline read.
