Panettiere Rumors: Hayden Panettiere Speaks Out on Marriage Rumors With Wladimir Klitschko (VIDEO)
Hayden Panettiere has seemingly rebutted rumors that she is about to marry her boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko, saying that they are not even engaged yet, let alone about to get married.
Panettiere had been the focus of wild rumors this past week regarding her relationship to the heavyweight boxing champion. However, she finally came out to speak about the rumors of marriage at this year's Billboard Music Awards at the weekend.
Panettiere attended the event with Klitschko, but he allowed her to take to the red carpet alone while he entered more discretely.
As she entered the awards, Panettiere was asked by one reporter about the rumors concerning a potential marriage to the boxer, to which she replied: "No ring."
Although the answer was not a direct rebuttal but she clearly indicated that she had not been given an engagement ring, and so had not immediate plans for wedding bells.
However, the answer was not enough for some, with some fans taking to social media sites to point out that she did not answer clearly in the affirmative nor negative, and that she was quite intentional in not doing so.
Rumors about a potential engagement between Panettiere and the boxer have been circulating for months as the couple have been seen out and about together looking very happy.
Some commenters have even pointed out to one source that came out in March and told Us Weekly: "Very few people know, and she isn't wearing her ring publicly yet."
That quote was used to show that Panettiere's answer at the weekend was by no means a clear no, and she could easily just be not comfortable with revealing the plans publicly yet.
Panettiere and the boxer previously broke up once before, in May 2011, but were only apart for four months before they got back together again.
The actress has said that she liked the fact that he was an athlete as that means he is not too far removed from her acting world: "I like [dating athletes]. It's been a really cool thing, because they're in similar circles, where they understand the schedule, the work ethic, the social aspect, but they're not exactly in your industry, so it works out well."
