'Penny Dreadful' Season 3 News: Is It London For Ethan?

The upcoming season of "Penny Dreadful" promises more evil as a new trailer has been released for fans to get a first look at the dreadful cast.

The trailer holds a lot of details and mysteries as Vanessa (Eva Green) seems to be inside an asylum. She looks really distressed as she is locked up in a room that appears to be sound-proof. By the end of the trailer, Vanessa says, "You think you know evil," with tears running down her cheeks.

Dorian (Reeve Carney) and Brona (Billie Piper) are dancing on the hallway and Justine (Jessica Barden) comes to interrupt the dance of death. Some fans speculate that Justine will probably open doors for a confrontation between the Dorian, Lily/Brona, and Ethan.

The mysteries continue as some short scenes show Sir Malcolm (Timothy Dalton) and finally there's Ethan (Josh Hartnett), who is supposed to be in America. In the finale of season 2, Ethan admitted to officials that he murdered some people at the Mariner's Inn, something that fans believe he should not have done.

Ethan was then moved back to his hometown, but the trailer shows otherwise. It seems that the werewolf will be back in London. Rumor has it that he traveled back to London with the purpose of finding himself after all the unfortunate events that occurred in the previous season. Some also speculate that he will finally reveal his love for Vanessa — a storyline that fans have long been wanting to see.

Fans have been requesting for a romance to be sparked between the two star-crossed creatures, and while it is unclear how their relationship will fare with Vanessa in an asylum and is held by some Dr. Seward (Patti LuPone), it is rumored that Ethan will find a way to meet with her.

It is expected that some new faces will be seen when "Penny Dreadful" returns for a third season on May 1.
