People's Choice Awards 2015: Winners List and Show Review
The biggest names in movies, TV, and music came together at the 41st People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. This is the first awards ceremony of the year in Hollywood, and the winners and nominees are all hand-picked by fans.
The show was hosted by Allison Janney and Anna Faris, and Janney said to the Associated Press before the ceremony, "We don't know what we're doing. We've never hosted a show before. I think they're crazy for having picked us. And we're going to prove it."
The show kicked off with a pre-taped sketch featuring Faris' husband, "Guardians of the Galaxy" star Chris Pratt. Onstage, Janney and Faris kept the audience laughing with joke after joke, and at one point Janney said, "We are completely live, so keep everything clean—especially you, Betty White."

The first award of the evening went to Melissa McCarthy for Favorite Comedic Movie Actress.
"I want to thank the fans that go out and buy movie tickets and allow me to do what I do," she said. "Without you, I would not have a job, and I'm going to stick around as long as you have me."
Betty White went onstage to accept the award for Favorite TV Icon, and she said, "When Melissa McCarthy said she said that she'd stay as long as you let her … Well you've abused the privilege with me … Can you imagine the People's Choice at 93 [years old]?"
Ben Affleck received the Favorite Humanitarian Award. "One thing I learned by watching people … is to do just a little bit … one way to combat the sad things we see … is to try to bring a little bit of kindness into the world," he said.
