Pippa Middleton on Prince George, Family, and Life in the Spotlight: 'Be Yourself,' Royal In-Law Encourages Others

Pippa Middleton may be the world's most famous aunt – after all, her nephew is due to be King of England one day. But that's not the way that Middleton sees Prince George; instead, she says he's an "amazing, very dear boy."

Middleton gave a very public interview to NBC's Matt Lauer and spoke about her role as a royal in-law as well as her career plans and life in general. One of the things that made her happiest, though, was speaking about the new man in her life – Prince George, who turns one this month.

"He's amazing, a very dear boy," Middleton told Lauer. "He's brought a lot of pleasure and fun for all of us, the whole family."

And family is key to the younger Middleton sister who offers a lot of support to older sister Kate, who is married to Prince William. But royal titles have not come between the siblings and likely never will, based on Pippa's words about family.

"I mean, obviously she has pressures that she's taken on and things, but we spend a lot of time together. We still do a lot together as a family. And I think that's really the heart for all of us is having a really close family that we can sort of be normal with each other, treat each other normally. That's sort of kept us all, you know, affixed to the ground. We do have a very normal, sisterly relationship. We're very close. And, you know, we support each other and get each other's opinions and things," she explained.

Of course, suddenly being in the spotlight has taken some adjusting, but both Middleton sisters have done so with grace and dignity. Pippa even offered advice to those who may find themselves in the public eye.

"Be yourself – keep your good friends and your family close to you, as they are the ones that know you and keep you on the right path. Be genuine," she said.
