'Pirates of the Caribbean 5': New Teaser Shows Salazar's Vengeful Mission, More Sparrow Scenes
The hit Disney franchise "Pirates of the Caribbean's" fifth installment is set to be released in May, and a new teaser is up to excite fans about the upcoming movie.
The short clip for "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" reveals a little about Captain Armando Salazar's (Javier Bardem) backstory and his vengeful mission. It also features more scenes of fan-favorite Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), who is seen without pants, claiming that "a great pirate does not require such intricacies."
New character Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario) also professes in the trailer that she is a "woman of science" and that she does not believe in ghosts.

Slated for a May 26 release date, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" also stars Geoffrey Rush and Orlando Bloom who are going to reprise their roles as Barbossa and Will Turner, respectively.
Aside from Scodelario and Bardem, Brenton Thwaites also join the franchise as a newcomer, playing Henry - a young man who tries to reconnect with his father.
The premise of the upcoming installment is based on Jack Sparrow's old rival, Captain Salazar, who along with a navy of ghost ships is out to kill every pirate at sea.
Jack Sparrow, on the other hand, seeks the Trident of Poseidon, which will help him defeat Captain Salazar and his ghostly and vengeful envoy.
The movie is considered to be a sort of soft reboot, probably in the hopes that Depp's Jack Sparrow character could once again revive the franchise, particularly from the mixed reviews it gained during the fourth one, "On Stranger Tides," which some say had a muddled and disjointed plot line.
Furthermore, it is not clear if "Dead Men Tell No Tales" will be the last installment for the franchise, although co-director Joachim Ronning reveals that there is a possibility. The final decision, however, might still depend on the success of the upcoming movie.
