PlayStation Plus Free Games For January Announced
Sony is extending its gift-giving for its loyal PlayStation Plus subscribers this January, with a slew of free games for its gaming consoles, the PlayStation 4, the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita. According to a post in the PlayStation blog, starting January 5, there will be two free games for the PS4, two free games for the PS3 and two free games for the mobile PS Vita.
For the current generation console, a vehicular combat game and a remastered adventure game is on offer. "Hardware: Rivals" is an online combat game that involves pitting vehicles against vehicles. Players can choose to play as a Tank or a Fast Attack Vehicle. They can either play individually or play with a team and battle it out against other groups.
The adventure game titled "Grim Fandango" is a remastered version where players will control the character Manuel "Manny" Calavera who is a travel agent with the Department of Death, as he guides another character, Mercedes "Meche" Colomar in her trip to the Underworld.
For older generation console owners, the free games for this month are "Dragon Age: Origins," a fantasy role-playing game and the shooting game "Medal of Honor: Warfighter." In "Dragon Age," players get to choose whether to play a warrior, a mage or a rogue. The game's objective is for the player to take the lead in defending the kingdom from evil forces threatening to take it over.
Mobile gamers using PS Vita on the other hand, will be getting "Nihilumbra" and "Legends of War: Patton." The first game is a puzzle game wherein the player controls a character named Born as he walks and jumps in the different areas and levels of the game. "Legend of War" is a strategy video game that is set during the time of General Patton's leadership in World War 2.
All of these games will be available starting January 5.
