PlayStation Plus March 2017 Free Games Rumors: To Feature 'SteamWorld Heist' and 'Killzone: Shadow Fall'

Technology company Sony has not yet confirmed an official March lineup for its PlayStation Plus program, but fans expect that it will announce the details by the last week of February or on the first day of March.

Without an official Sony announcement, fans took to the online world to make more speculations about the game titles that might be coming to the PS Plus program in March.

Among the games that are speculated to be included next month are "Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor," "Killzone: Shadow Fall," "Fat Princess Adventures," "Hotline Miami 2," and "SteamWorld Heist." These are not sure yet, and one or all of those games might not even be included in the official lineup when this month's list is finally announced.

"Killzone: Shadow Fall," which was released in 2013, is expected to be included because fans speculate that this could be Sony's way of reviving interest in the franchise before finally announcing an upcoming installment of the game.

"SteamWorld Heist," on the other hand, is speculated to be included as a gift for PlayStation Plus members, given its high ratings and good reviews.

For those who are not members of the program yet, a PS Plus subscription is available for $9.99 per month or $49.99 for a one-year subscription.

In the meantime, while waiting for the March lineup, PS Plus members can still enjoy the games in Sony's PS Plus February list which includes "LittleBigPlanet 3," "Not a Hero," "TorqueL," "Anna: Extended Edition," "Starwhal" and "Ninja Senki DX."

In other news, top competitor Microsoft has already unveiled its official lineup for its Xbox Games with Gold program for March 2017, which includes the games "Evolve," "Layers of Fear," Borderlands 2," and "Heavy Weapon."

The rival company is also expected to unveil its new Xbox console during the Electronic Entertainment Expo this year in California, with a keynote event scheduled on June 11.
