'Pokemon GO' Release Date Rumors: Price & Beta Update Latest
Fans of Pokémon are practicing to be very patient as they wait for the release of Niantic's upcoming augmented reality game for mobile phones, "Pokémon GO." The game was announced last year but until now, the game has no confirmed release date yet. It doesn't come as a surprise though since the game is a big project and completing it will involve meticulous and detailed work in order to bring a unique gaming experience.
According to Tech Advisor, "Pokémon GO" is mobile app game made for Android and iPhone users with the aim of locating, catching, battling and trading Pokémon monsters. They will download the app to their smartphone but play with it in the real world through augmented reality. A trailer video has already been released and it showed fans a glimpse of what the game will be all about.
"For the first time, Pokémon will roam free in the real world. Pokémon GO will allow players to capture Pokémon who inhabit parks, shopping areas, sidewalks and the countryside all around the world," said Niantic founder John Hanke.
Several rumors about the game's release date have surfaced already but so far, none of it seems to be the right one. No exact details are known yet except for the fact that it will be coming anytime this 2016. Parent Herald detailed that a report suggesting an early 2016 release date may not be possible since there is a time conflict between the beta testing of the games and the actual launch date. So until Nintendo makes the official announcement, fans will just have to wait.
There are few official details about the game lying around though. As noted in the Pokémon website, the game will be available for download at no cost. It will be available in the App Store and Google Play. There will be in-app purchases as well. As for the beta testing, it has not been announced yet. It's also best to take note that in order to be part of a closed beta, one must be invited.
